The Good Shepherd vs The Thief
What does it really mean to have “abundant life” in Jesus? In John 10:10, Jesus gives us a powerful contrast: “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” The abundant life Jesus promises isn’t a life without trials, hardship, or pain. It’s something far greater—**spiritual freedom, a divine connection with our Heavenly Father, and an inner transformation through the Holy Spirit.** In this message, Pastor Gary walks us through what it means to leave behind the old life, put on the new, and experience the life Christ died to give us. Through Him, the weight of sin can be lifted, we can know God personally as our loving Father, and our lives can increasingly reflect the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control that come from His Spirit. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy—but Jesus came to give life, and life more abundantly. Are you living in the abundant life Jesus has offered you?
