Youth Ministry

Many youth grow up in the church, but few learn to purposefully walk with God. Our goal in the Calvary Chapel Hemet Youth Ministry is to do exactly that; to teach everyone between the ages of 12-18 the Biblical truths needed to own their walk with God. Love is the first and second greatest commandments given to us in the Holy Bible. We are taught to first love God, and then to love others (Matthew 22:37-40 NKJV).

Love is a necessary piece of the puzzle for every believer. It is learned through the equipping of fellow believers by the Word and is not limited by age (Ephesians 4:11-13 NKJV). Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and begin to follow His principles, we start to become His disciples. This is a life-long process that begins with personal ownership of our walk and denying ourselves daily (Matthew 16:24-25 NKJV).

While growth is constant in our walk with God, as Christians we all have a calling that comes straight from Jesus, The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV). This calling becomes a necessary part of any Christian life – to lovingly reach out to non-believers and lead them to the Lord.

Our goal is not only to be youth ministry, but to be an outreach ministry (1 Timothy 4:12 NKJV).  There is no “right age” when it comes to sharing our faith. The faster our youth are equipped with a vision of saving souls the better. The goal of CCHY is to equip our youth with the tools necessary to be witnesses in their community. As they do so, they become excited about sharing their faith, growing in the Lord, and knowing that by the power of the Holy Spirit, we can reach souls for Christ. God will never allow those who build His kingdom to fail.

During the year we have many different activities and take various trips together such as going to camp, hiking, bowling,  and just having fun as a group while we grow closer to God.  Come join us and see what amazing things the Lord is doing and hang out after for a game of foosball or pool!
